The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for providing exceptional technical support and service in the field by ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of the outside plant (Distribution, Access, and Drop Layer). This maximizes uptime and customer satisfaction through prompt, professional, and knowledgeable assistance. The FST is required to comply with documented processes and procedures and is responsible for connecting customers to the network. This includes troubleshooting, complaint handling and repair/replacement of access lines and CPE’s.
