The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive leader at the Development Finance Corporation (DFC), responsible for overseeing all financial operations to ensure the organization’s financial health and long-term sustainability. This role involves strategic financial planning, risk management, and financial oversight to support DFC’s mission of fostering economic development in Belize. Additionally, the CFO provides executive leadership for People Operations, Corporate Services, and Legal functions, ensuring alignment with DFC’s strategic goals and operational efficiency. M.Sc. Degree in Finance, Accounting or Management; or Professional Accountancy Certification OR a BSc. Degree in Finance, Accounting or Management; or Professional Accountancy Certification Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and risk management. Proven leadership skills with special concentration on strategic planning, change management, and communication. Thorough understanding of DFC’s unique role in the financial services sector and priorities of a development bank, including their propensity for higher risks and the implications for risk management. Ability to synthesize data and measure the impact of trends on an organization. High ethical standards and uncompromising sense of integrity.
