Organizational Overview:
Monkey Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-governmental organization that operates a
conservation-based education center in Central Belize and a marine station on the
Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. We provide opportunities for experiential learning, field-based
research, sustainable tourism, and environmental education, while managing over 3,000 acres
of protected land in the Maya Forest Corridor. Our mission is to foster connections between
people and nature while promoting and protecting the natural and cultural heritage of Belize
Position Overview:
The Director of Tourism and Hospitality is a senior leadership role responsible for managing and
advancing Monkey Bay’s hospitality services and tourism operations. The Director ensures the
efficient, high-quality, and sustainable delivery of services—including lodging, food service,
tours, logistics, and facility management—while also driving revenue growth through product
development, marketing, and exceptional client experiences. This role is integral to enhancing
the organization’s financial sustainability, operational excellence, and brand reputation.
